Welcome to Hong Kong Comic Con. This Platform supports the Hong Kong Comic-Con event, including cosplay submissions and QR code issuance for event access, badges, or contests.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Platform, which provides resources and information related to the Hong Kong Comic Con event. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Platform.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly allow users under 13 to submit data.

User Accounts

You may need to create an account to submit cosplay entries or obtain a QR code. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

Cosplay Submissions

You may submit cosplay photos, videos, descriptions, character names, and related content (“Cosplay Content”) through our designated form.

By submitting Cosplay Content, you represent and warrant that:

• You own all rights to the content or have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses.
• The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights (including copyrights, trademarks, or rights of publicity).
• The content is not defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.
• You are the person depicted in the photos/videos or have obtained explicit consent from all individuals appearing in the content.

License Grant: By submitting Cosplay Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, and create derivative works of your Cosplay Content for the purposes of:

• Reviewing, evaluating, and featuring your submission on the Platform and at the event;
• Promoting the event (including on social media, websites, and event materials);
• Operating contests or showcases (if applicable).

This license survives termination of your account or these Terms. We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to reject, remove, or edit any Cosplay Content at our sole discretion.

QR Codes

• QR codes are issued for legitimate event purposes (badge access, entry verification, or cosplay contest participation).
• You may not share, sell, transfer, or misuse your QR code. Each QR code is personal and non-transferable.
• Scanning of the QR code may reveal limited personal information (name, ticket status, etc.) to authorized event staff, exhibitors, or partners.
• We are not responsible for any loss, theft, or unauthorized scanning of your QR code. You agree to hold us harmless for any consequences arising from sharing your QR code.
• QR codes may expire after the event or upon violation of these Terms.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading information in cosplay entries or QR requests.
• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or to harass, defame, or harm others.
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or interfere with the Platform’s operation.
• Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code.
• Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

Content and Intellectual Property

Ownership: All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, videos, and software, is the property of the Company or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Restrictions: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, create derivative works, publicly display, or transmit any content from the Platform without prior written consent from the Company.

User Contributions:

• Users may submit content (e.g., feedback, reviews, or comments) through the Platform.
• By submitting content, you grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and sublicensable license to use, modify, reproduce, and display your content for purposes related to the Platform or the Company’s business.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, but the license you granted for your Cosplay Content remains in effect.

Disclaimers

As-Is Basis: The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Third-Party Links: The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources. The Company is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of such external sites and does not endorse them. Access is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

The Company disclaims liability for any interruptions, errors, or technical issues affecting the functionality of the Platform.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless [Your Company Name], its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising from:

• Your Cosplay Content;
• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your misuse of the QR code.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms of Use shall be resolved exclusively by arbitration in Hong Kong.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the new effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
