Cosplay & Props Policy

We want everyone to have an epic, safe, and family-friendly experience at HK Comic Con. Please review these rules carefully — they are strictly enforced for the safety and comfort of all attendees.

Q: What is the cosplay policy?

  • Costumes must be street-legal and appropriate for a public, family-friendly event.
  • Moderately revealing costumes are generally allowed if there is proper coverage.
  • Not Allowed:
    • Exposed genital areas
    • Excessive nudity
    • See-through costumes without proper coverage
    • Costumes violating Hong Kong indecency laws
    • ⚠️ Security may ask you to modify your costume or leave if it is deemed inappropriate.

Q: What is the props policy?

  • All props must be inspected at designated “Prop Check” stations upon entry.
    • Allowed:
      • Props made of lightweight materials (foam, cardboard, plastic).
      • Replica firearms must be lightweight and cannot be functional.
    • Not Allowed:
      • Real weapons, objects made of metal (including aluminium swords), sharp or pointed objects, airsoft guns, bows and arrows, slingshots.
      • Projectiles of any kind.
      • Functional bows with high-tension strings.
      • Items with sharp points or edges.
      • ⚠️ Security has final authority and may confiscate props.
    • Size Limit:
      • Props must not obstruct attendee movement or block aisles.
  • This policy is strictly enforced for the safety of all, similar to the rigorous checks at Hong Kong Comic Con.
